About the Artist
Hi, I’m Laryssa J, the creator behind Elysium Glaze — a collection of handmade ceramics designed to bring a sense of calm, balance, and beauty into everyday life.
Each piece is shaped with intention, from incense holders & coasters and more to come. I use a mix of techniques — sometimes applying intricate transfer sheets for my designs, other times hand-drawing every delicate detail myself. No two pieces are ever the same, and that’s what I love most about the process.
I currently live in a small apartment with my boyfriend, where we share a cozy hobby room that’s become my little creative haven. After shaping and glazing, I travel to drop off my pieces to be fired by another lovely local ceramic artist — it’s a small but meaningful part of the journey that keeps me connected to my community.
Right now, I’m balancing a full-time job alongside building Elysium Glaze — pouring every spare hour into growing this dream until it can one day stand on its own. It’s a busy season, but a deeply fulfilling one, and every late-night glaze session or weekend market makes it all worth it.
At 26, I’m once again following that familiar spark of entrepreneurship that’s been with me since I was a kid — always dreaming, always creating. Ceramics found me at the right time and gave me what I needed most: calm. Working with clay soothes my ADHD mind and invites me to slow down, breathe, and be present. Most days, you’ll find me shaping new pieces with The Office playing softly in the background, completely in my flow.
Elysium Glaze is more than a brand — it’s an embodiment of peace, creativity, and stillness. Every handmade piece carries that energy, crafted with care and intention, in hopes that it brings a bit of that same warmth and calm into your home.
